Connecting with a WWII Veteran

Breezewood, PA - We stopped for lunch and had the opportunity to run into a group of WWII veterans touring DC and Shanksville, PA through www.vetsroll.org.  Mrs. Willyerd chatted with 86- year old WWII veteran, Frank O'Keefe.  He joined the marines when he was 17 and served his country for five years.  Frank said that it would be his first time to visit the WWII Memorial.  He also described the new memorial at Shanksville, PA as one of he most emotional places he has visited so far.  It was great for the students to see and visit with some of the veterans who helped shape our country.
