We finally made it to Gettysburg around 2:30 this afternoon. The brand new visitors' center and museum was the first thing to do on our itinerary. The students had about one hour to explore the museum. There were lots of quotes, artifacts, and even people walking around in Civil War era clothing. Students really seemed to enjoy making the connections to the material they had already learned in social studies this year.
