Cruising the Potomac
Lunch cruise - students had a delicious buffet of salad, pulled pork, roasted chicken, green beans, rice, and rolls. Students then had a dance following lunch. Videos to follow later.
Mt. Vernon
At Mt. Vernon...the rain has stopped finally! Toured the house, educational center, and watched a 4-D movie.
Arlington - Ampitheater
Students listen to our tour guide, Dave, about the Tomb of the Unknowns and Arlington. The kids are sitting at the beautiful marble Amphitheater on the flip side of the Tomb.
Capitol Tour
Students toured the Capitol yesterday morning. We had a very busy day! The Police Memorial special event was held at the Capitol and Vice-President Joe Biden was the speaker. We didn't get to see this, but it affected how easy it was for us to get around touring Capitol Hill. We walked even more than normal with less "down" time than ever - so I apologize these postings are delayed.
